Above: Selections from Every Chair at the Visual Studies Workshop. View the entire project at Flickr.

These chairs have all sorts of personalities and as such mirror the history of the quirky non-profit arts center they call home. They’re an odd lot, much like the multitudes that have passed through the Visual Studies Workshop over its long existence. But each one has a place in the institution’s history. In them, I see stories across time.

Prints of this project were made available through 20×200. All three editions are sold out.
